Just got back from the first gig of Swanage Blues Festival. What a cracking start! Steve Darrington, Hugh Budden and Robert Hokum all in fine form. A great mix of humour, anecdotes, guitar, harmonica and piano. Best Thursday night I've had in a long time.

I'd like to say a big big thank you to Steve Darrington for organising another fantastic festival, and all the venues, musicians and Wristband wearers that together make this the friendliest blues festival around. See you all in October. One of the reasons I keep going back is for alll the great people I have met over the years.

Well Swanage Blues Festival came and went what a blast, saw some old favourites and some new exciting bands/soloists went to some new venues for me and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Didnt get to see some of the bands I would have liked to cant be in two places at the same time but I'm sure there will be opportunities in October. A heartfelt thanks to all the bands artists roadies venues B&Bs Ringwood Brewery for their efforts in making this a great festival, but most of all thanks to Steve Darrington for once again pulling it all together to make such a brilliant event.

Thanks to fab Steve Darrington for putting together yet another magical Blues weekend for all of us.
RH said:
A cracking weekend as usual. We usually stay in Swanage for the week and had not realised that not only does the Legion welcome us for the festival but that you can have membership for a week for the princely sum of three quid! Anyway, it was all good Steve. Many, many thanks for the effort that you put into this. Just hope that you sold plenty of wristbands.
RC said:
Wow, probably the best Festival yet and I have been to most of them in the last 10 years, living in Corfe. I could only make Friday night and Saturday this time but everything I saw was great and the standard of performance was terrific.

Firstly (and I'm sure you're tired of hearing this) congratulations on a stunning weekend, really really enjoyed it! Plus...a big THANK YOU as the work involved must be astronomical.
