2001 March
The First Swanage Blues Weekend 2, 3 and 4 March 2001
HOW IT STARTED
"It's my birthday soon" said George Crane to Steve Darrington as they mused over a pint in their favourite watering hole.
"When's that?" asked Steve.
"February 29th, so I can have it whenever I like" said George. "Maybe with a band this time."
"Make it a couple of bands and have it here," said Phil, owner of the Victoria Club.
"I'll help to organise it" said Steve, "and let's make a weekend of it."
"I'll put a few bob up" said George.
"So will I" added Phil.
And so, in 2001, the First Swanage Blues Weekend was born...
